About ten years ago all you had wanted to be was a dancer.It was as simple as that

, nothing else seemed as important and it was everything you had ever wanted and dreamed of from an early age.In fact you had insisted on going to ballet as early as the age of three and loved to spin and skip around in your little tutu and ballet pumps.

As you got older and a little wiser you realised that you would have to learn different styles of dance, not just ballet, but contemporary, jazz, tap, street and many more, so after school you would head to the local leisure centre and join in a class for an hour, loving every second and wishing the class would never end.All you talked about with your friends was dancing, the latest steps and the music you would love to dance to.

The subject of new jazz shoes came up at home one night after class, you had been working hard at the jazz class and practiced the steps and moves at home most nights, but as you were growing up your old jazz shoes were starting to look a little worse for wear.Time for a new pair of jazz shoes you thought and showed them to your mum and dad, indeed your jazz shoes were in a pretty sorry state, laces torn and frayed, the soles had worn right down and the heels were a strange shape - a far cry from their starting point.

Your dad turned to your mum and wistfully commented that it was a good idea to get them replaced, especially as your feet were still growing and a new pair of not just jazz shoes, but across the board was on the cards.So as the week passed by and the weekend loomed you were looking forward to a trip into town to get your new pair of jazz shoes.You loved shopping for dance clothes; it was a real treat and a chance to see all the latest styles of not only jazz shoes but other types of dancewear.

So, Saturday morning came and you and your mum jumped on the bus and headed into town, stopping by a few shops at first to run some errands, but you were getting anxious and just wanted to go to the dancewear shop and have a good look at the jazz shoes.Finally you arrived, although your mum had dragged you into a coffee shop for twenty minutes so she could "re charge her batteries", you never really understood why she had to have a coffee to do that, parents were strange and you had fidgeted around whilst drinking your milkshake.But you got there in the end and you made a beeline for the shoe section and hunted down three or four jazz shoes to try on.Finally after trying on almost six different pairs and sizes you settled on a black pair and left the store with a big smile on your face.
