Pattaya.

Well Pattaya has had some harsh press over the past few months and it was this bad press that pointed me to Pattaya in the first place and I am so glad I becameinquisitiveabout the place.

First of all I realised when walking around and talking to people that there are not the normal rules everywhere that you cant do in the UK, I mean for example you can drive down a one way street the wrong way as long as your careful, yellow lines are in a few places but you can park there as long as you realise someone may move your motorbike if they need to get through.

You see in Pattaya, youdon'tdo road rage, you very rarely see it or hear about it, they just do it, in the UK people make such a fuss over someone going slow in front of you, or parking in the wrong place, here no one really cares, theydon'tpoketheirnose in your business.

As long as you smile and dont show aggression towards then, anything yes anything can be dealt with and no big fuss made, I have had a few trips now to Pattaya and spend 2x 4 months stints a year here so have got very used to it.

I would not want to go anywhere else now and I am quite welltravelledand am content here, I stay in a great little guest house called Canterbury Tales Cafe in pretty much the best location and the thing with Pattaya everything is not far away, the shopping, the nightlife, the beach all 5 or 10 mins away.

At the Canterbury Tales the rooms are very good for the budget traveller, large rooms with free Wifi, www.canterburytalescafe.com has all the details and the food is brilliant, the Bookshop issuperbas is the Book exchange a great idea as you can trade books from anywhere.

There are many languages but mostly English and all subjects, also all the Thailand related books so a great find.
