Starbucks Card Starbucks brings Mobile app for BlackBerry. The move comes after September last year they introduced the Starbucks Card Mobile app for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

With these new applications, BlackBerry users can now recharge their cards to pay Starbucks, monitor their rewards cards, and even pay the purchase they did at the 16 outlets of Starbucks.

"We do not want to just put iPhone applications on the BlackBerry," said Chuck Davidson, Category Manager for Innovation, Starbucks Card, as quoted from Mashable, 3 September 2010. "We need to think like a BlackBerry user to understand what they want," he said.

Starbucks Card Mobile for BlackBerry has been modified and can be used by users Bold, Storm, and the Tour. Compared to previous applications, BlackBerry users can now use the store locator feature to find all Starbucks outlets, outlets that support not only mobile payment.

Moreover, unlike the iPhone version of the rich graphics and video navigation, the development team using the menu more in line with the BlackBerry platform.

With additional support for the BlackBerry, Davidson said, he estimates that about three-quarters of its customers can now access the Starbucks Card Mobile app.
