PCM channel analyzer with many full-channel and half-channel testing functions for PCM channel characteristics and error testing for E1. It measures PCM devices, digital switches, carrier wave communication devices and VoIP devices and is especially applicable to science research, manufacturing, engineering installation, check and acceptance as well as maintenance.

This portable PCM channel analyzer, model A0050003, integrates an analog signal generator/receiver, a selective level meter, a BERT, a signaling generator/receiver, a ring generator/identifier, a dialer, a DC loop circuit (ICT, OGT), a balanced bridge and a reflecting bridge into a single instrument It has functions for measuring PCM voice encoding and decoding performance characteristics. It features touch-panel operation, key-stroke operation, expanded mouse operation, flexible control modes and a convenient Windows' style GUI. Its built-in generator and receiver, analog input and output interfaces work separately with ICT and OGT. The built-in call set-up circuit can set up testing channels directly by dialling on the tester without the use of a telephone. It performs equal step frequency spots sequence tests and customized frequency spots and selective frequency measuring on all frequency spots.

Users can develop and design voice channel measurement/control systems under a variety of different conditions via USB or Ethernet interface. The analyzer also compares measured results with built-in standard ITU-T tolerance masks to evaluate whether the results indicate a pass or fail. Test results can be uploaded to a computer for further analysis and printed via the included software.

This portable PCM channel analyzer belongs to GAO's family of CATV Meters & Instruments.
