PEOPLE- YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

There are things taken for granted that has cost many so much in life. In this article I will focus on one of such things; RELATIONSHIP WITH PEOPLE.

I was once told that people were my opportunities, at first I did not understand. It actually took several weeks and few experiences for me to finally grasp the meaning of that profound statement.

There are so many things you may never get to know that concerns you: for instance, you may never get to know how many times someone had the opportunity to recommend you for something good but did not- This could be as a result of the person's view of you which could be based on His experience in relating with you. For example, I know a guy who was inspecting the construction of a new building of an aunt. One day, news got to His Aunt that the carpenters at the site used some of the timbers to construct something for a neighbour. Now this was wrong, they were not supposed to use another person's material to work for someone else. The Aunt was furious and decided to approach the workers and ask them to leave, but the guy suggested she shouldn't, since the building will be completed in less than a week, but to allow them complete the job. He added "we cannot use them for any other job neither can we recommend them to someone else."

Now, what you should notice in that story is that the carpenters never knew they had lost future jobs and recommendations from that Lady. It's imperative you also note that many people have lost great opportunities this way. It has nothing to do with someone having hatred for you, but with the way you present yourself to others and relate with them.

The impression people get when they are with you matters. Please note that I am not writing to encourage "eye service" neither am I trying to get you please everybody. It is certain you cannot please everyone at the same time.

The point is- Display nice character always and you wouldn't miss so much of opportunities in life, also every well meaning person would like your personality. Learn to be appreciative, loyal, Diligent, dedicated to service, helpful and stand for that which is right at all times.

Living this way, will open doors of opportunities for you.

Remember, everyone you meet is an opportunity you should not lose.
