Peppa Pig World

I took my two youngsters to Peppa Pig World to celebrate my son's 2nd birthday earlier in the year

. I decided I'd pass on my ideas about our experience there which means you can decide whether its worth a journey.

I am not certain I chose the most suitable time of year for our trip. I have to admit it felt a bit parky (there was snow on the ground), so I felt it was a bit of a poor choice that there were not a great deal of indoor attractions, although it did not bother the youngsters too much. The only part that was under cover was with good reason the most crowded. Except for that, however, it wasn't too crowded and we weren't expected to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes for any of the rides - the low temperature might indeed have made a bit of a difference, even so it did happen to be the first day of the season and the first day of half term. It seemed like all the visitors turned up all together a little while after the marketed opening time, having said that the car parking facilities were properly ordered and I imagine that even during the summer season there wouldnt be very much difficulty in getting the car parked.

Peppa Pig World is aesthetically pleasing, it's full of cherished characters and buildings from the series and the kids were over the moon as soon as we located the entrance. The fact that an figure of Grandpa Pig was right there at gateway did put an enormous grin on their faces. The rides were perfect for tiny tots and there was a wide variety of different gentle rides and Peppa Pig games. As opposed to solely rides there was an opportunity to see numerous locations from the programme, for instance Peppa Pigs home plus the nursery. My four year old daughter was utterly chuffed to meet Peppa and George Pig in the flesh, yet, after a while she was more than ready to make the most of the rest of Paulton's Park for something a little more daring. That is one of the positive aspects as for one entrance price you have the option to spend the day there and find a ride or attraction to please all of the relatives irrespective of their age - whether you're a two year old boy (or his father) who enjoyed a wander through a wooded area full of dinosaurs or an 8 year old year with a penchant for rollercoasters.

I reckon the the most frustrating issue was the paucity of meal options, compounded by the fact that happened to be so chilly that everyone intended to eat inside. The resaurants weren't especially inspiring or nicely decorated, but there were loads of high chairs, and the food was neither wholesome nor appetising. Therefore I'd undoubtedly recommend preparing a picnic lunch should you go when the temperatures are better.

It certainly is not the cheapest day trip, not least because both my kids came back with a Peppa Pig toy and limiting them to just one was not easy. However, we visited with a group of kids and adults and everyone had a great day despite the cold. The diversity of activities meant that no one went home without finding a ride or attraction they really loved. Not something to do every Saturday, but we will quite possibly go back, either this summer or next. I would advocate Peppa Pig World for ages 2-5 and Paulton's Park overall for children of any age.
