Pepsi Center, popularly referred to as The Can, is a premier multipurpose arena and event center in Denver, Colorado. The building serves as the home of the players from four state sports team, which are the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League, the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League, and the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association. When it is not used by the state teams, the Pepsi Center usually serves as venues of different events and gatherings.

Pepsi Center was built as a part of a huge six-year-long sporting venue upgrade in Denver, alongside with the Coors Field and the Invesco Field. The complex was constructed in such a way that it will be readily accessible. Pepsi Center is located at Speer Boulevard in downtown Denver.

Its construction was started on November 20, 1997, and was built on a four-and-a-half acre piece of land. It was completed in October 1999, with Celine Dion performed the inaugural concert there. The complex also includes a basketball practice facility used by the Denver Nuggets, and the Blue Sky Grill restaurant. From the years 2004 to 2006, Pepsi Center held the Mountain West Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. On March 2007, the arena hosted the National Collegiate Athletic Association, or NCAA. The Centrix Financial Grand Prix of Denver was also held in Pepsi Center's parking lot from the years 2002 to 2006.

In the year 2004, Denver was chosen as one of the five selected cities in the United States to host the Dew Action Sports Tour, an extreme sports tour. As a main event center in Denver Colorado, the inaugural program was held at Pepsi Center on July. Aside from sports events, the arena also hosted other events such as the International Convention and Contests of the Barbershop Harmony Society, a singing organization for men, and WWE Vengeance 2003, which is an entertainment wrestling event.

Pepsi Center, establishing its status as a major event center in Denver Colorado, hosted the 2008 Democratic National Convention. However, the party's presidential nominee, President Barack Obama, delivered his acceptance speech at the nearby INVESCO Field.
