When the case inhibits Root Form Implant and Plate Form Implant to be done, Subperiosteal Implants can be used instead. The way there are placed is very similar to Plate Form Implants where the plate is placed on top of the jawbone. There are a few differences with the procedures, though. The dentist makes an imprint of the patients jawbone so that custom implants can fit perfectly on the size and shape of the bone.
