Perry Rogers Ably Negotiates Shaq Deal With Celtics

Perry Rogers, Shaquille O'Neal's agent, is handling the deal with Boston Celtics

. Rogers said that some minor discussion about the deal is going on though it was not of high priority. It is widely know that roping in Shaq on board will add mileage to the team. This comes close to the success of 'Shaq Vs' a reality TV show which was again produced by Perry Rogers.

With the Rogers negotiated deal Shaq has signed a $2.8 million contract for two-years, this comes soon after the news that Cavaliers, were not ready to draw in with a sign-and-trade with the Celtics. Perry Rogers has however reiterated that this will amplify O'Neal's salary this season.

Rogers further added that though this was not a priority to Shaq, but he wanted to start this summer with $6 million to $8 million range. Perry Rogers further expedited his deal for a minimum $5.8 million, which was a mid-level exemption and finally Shaq signed it for league minimum. So Shaq is likely to make $1,352,181 this season and $1,399,507 in the following year 2011-12.

Shaq is honored to have joined Celtics, and in a statement announced that he will look forward to play against Kevin (Garnett), Paul (Pierce), Rajon (Rondo) Jermaine, Ray with whom ONeal has great rapport and that he will be able to call them as his teammates.

On the other hand, the Celtics are happy to have Shaquille in their team as they have won their NBA 17 championship in 2008, while O'Neal holds four NBA titles.
