Personal Safety Products-the Top Three Customer Favorites

Personal safety products are nonlethal in nature

. They are products that are an alternative to deadly force. They got their start originally being used by military and law enforcement agencies. Only within the last decade or so have personal safety products started to bloom for the civilian community.

Their purpose is to disable an assailant long enough for you to get away from a potentially dangerous situation and seek help or just to get away. They do that in a couple of different ways. Pepper sprays and stun guns are on average 86 percent effective. Tasers are nearly 100 percent effective but cost much more than the others.

There are literally thousands personal safety products out there. It can be a daunting task to pick which one is best for you. So here are the top three customer favorites.

1. First is the pretender stun gun-this 4.5 million volt stun gun looks exactly like a camera cell phone which is why it is one of the favorites particularly of my women customers. A stun gun disables an assailant for up to 10 minutes by sending an electrical charge into his body. That charge causes the muscles to over work very rapidly depleting the body of all blood sugars that are needed for energy.

2. Second is the Mace pepper gun-this relatively new product sends a full strength 10 percent OC spray up to 25 feet away. OC or oleoresin capsicum is a derivative of cayenne pepper and is very hot. The short spritz in the face of OC spray causes the mucous membranes to close making it very difficult to breathe. It also causes choking and tearing so bad that the eyes close. And oh yes I forgot-the pain-it causes a lot of pain. The effects last up to 45 minutes.

3. And third most popular personal safety product is the C-2 taser. It shoots out two electrified darts up to 15 feet away allowing you to safe distance to protect yourself and your family. Tasers have been shown to have a higher instant incapacitation rate than a 9 mm handgun. Tasers override the central nervous system providing nearly 100 percent takedown power.

When are you getting some?

If you think crime can only happen to the other guy you are wrong. The "other guy" is thinking the same thing and to him you are that "other guy". There is a reason why they call it self defense. You have to protect yourself, your family, your home and business!!

If you are in the market for a self defense product look for quality, effectiveness, and a biggie-LEGALITY. Stun guns are not legal in some states. Pepper sprays have restrictions in some jurisdictions. Check with your local police department first before you get one.
