My favorite has always been the angel designs. Angel wind chimes, especially the big models, add surreal beauty and music to any home. But you can also get the ones with beads and shells. At the end of the day, your chime's design should match your general home decor.

Choose According to the Material

The way the music from the chimes affect you may have a lot to do with the materials. Metal chimes give a clear, ringing tone. A bamboo chime belongs to the patio. A metal chime is best suited for entry ways. Chimes don't make too much noise, especially the wooden ones, so your neighbors shouldn't have any reason to complain.

Personalized Chimes

If you have materials that would look and sound great on a wind chime, you can simply ask an artist to craft one for you using your materials. If you're the artsy type, you can create one yourself. If you check your local shops there should be a chime set that you can tinker with yourself. If you have old metal beads from the 80s, you can re-use those in your chime creations. One other way of customizing a wind chime is to inscribe your name on the bar supporting the strings.
