, looked to earn about 143 million pounds in cash and share as he sold the pet supply chain to Bridgepoint and then reinvested a portion of the proceeds. Today Pets at Home is owned and operated by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., (KKR) who obtained it in January 2010 after a fierce bidding war that included a total of 36 heavy-hitters who all wanted to own the highly successful retail store.
