I was fortunate at one point was reduced purchase price. I am very pleased with the product. The antenna comes with a DVD / TV, we seven channels, including The Weather Channel. TV input is very crisp and clear. My battery, as suggested by the manual (6 hours) and when the TV programs, fast boat turned around. Menu is easy to follow and easy to use. DVD plays very well with bright colors and sound. Recently we had a storm that our DirectTV ready for some time and was able to watch TV and play DVDs. I would recommend the Philips portable DVD / TV and give it a high score.

Since I received it and up to today, I am very happy and satisfied with the Philips PET729/37 - 7 inch LCD portable tv/dvd player.
The image for tv use is fantastic and the sound from the small speakers is good to great at is max. volume. I use it mainly in SW houston, and the signal is great and the image is great. Of course if you want to spend money on a bigger attena or signal amplifier, well, the greater your enjoyment.
The image for dvd, well, not as good as the tv image but satisfactory.
So far, no problems--hope this continues.
Set up and manipulation of options, very easy.

Excellent in every respect EXCEPT the antenna that comes with the unit is barely adequate. Only receives a few channels. A much better quality antenna must be purchased to really realize the full potential of the TV reception

Just got this last week. Out of the box and working in 5 minutes. Picked up 12 channels with amazing picture quality with the mini antenna that is included. Like the others, the only down side is no volume control on the remote. Other than that I am extrememly happy with the quality of this TV.

Great quality at an unbelievable price
I purchased this for my mom (who is 80 and not very tech savvy) to use and it is very easy to use. It's small enough to take anywhere and has a great picture. The sound doesn't get very loud, but with headphones she can turn the volume up without disturbing others. I have to mention that I paid less for this than another portable tv without a DVD player!
