The first impression was of surprise that was white when I just ordered a black unit. (Be careful when you order.) Well, the color is not much, so I continued with the enthusiasm to search for TV channels (my main reason to order) without receiving! I took it and tried again by a ..... I went to the site to cross the line to check our position somewhere in the manual. Can not find this information on its website, so I speak to a representative who has tried a few things that all past Suggest (only the base direction said to do and if I did). Disappointed, I read the reviews again and saw that some people had an additional antenna to improve reception purchased. I ordered one from Amazon.com, waited for the delivery and tried a little 'luck once again to search for channels. I have one that kind of work, but the blur with the slightest movement of the drive and / or air currents. The suitcases and decided to return. Several days passed before I was ready to return, and in that time, my laptop developed a problem and stopped working. I took it for repair and decided while he was "down", I would be part of the Phillips DVD drive for playing DVDs and exercises may change your mind about the refund. I unpacked, set for the DVD, wait for the screen showed the DVD "loading" and then ..... NOTHING! The display indicates that there was "No Disc". He tried again ... the same. Needless to say, today, Phillips cute little units that did nothing for me will be returned. I surrender!

Excellent in every respect EXCEPT the antenna that comes with the unit is barely adequate. Only receives a few channels. A much better quality antenna must be purchased to really realize the full potential of the TV reception
Phillips 7 inch LCD TV/DVD Player
Just got this last week. Out of the box and working in 5 minutes. Picked up 12 channels with amazing picture quality with the mini antenna that is included. Like the others, the only down side is no volume control on the remote. Other than that I am extrememly happy with the quality of this TV.

Since I received it and up to today, I am very happy and satisfied with the Philips PET729/37 - 7 inch LCD portable tv/dvd player.
The image for tv use is fantastic and the sound from the small speakers is good to great at is max. volume. I use it mainly in SW houston, and the signal is great and the image is great. Of course if you want to spend money on a bigger attena or signal amplifier, well, the greater your enjoyment.
The image for dvd, well, not as good as the tv image but satisfactory.
So far, no problems--hope this continues.
Set up and manipulation of options, very easy.
For the price, and my current experience, I would be be doing people a diservice not telling not to buy on--please, buy, buy, buy!!!!
