Pocket-lint reports that several sources familiar with the matter have informed them
that Microsoft intends to officially announce its new mobile operating system Windows Phone 7 11 October. The website says that the announcement will be at a party in New York, and the device will have an official date for the event, at the end of the month. On October 11, the date is not in line with the line from Microsoft has been feeding us for months: in time for the holiday season. More on this as they become available.
