. Spending a lot for school might not be such a good idea if youre only after photography as a hobby. If youre only after it as a hobby, its best you take solo classes that offer more in-depth lectures and explanations on specific fields in photography, depending on what class you signed up for. if you see yourself in the future as a professional photographer, then going to collage may be right for you.

Once you know that you want to go to photography colleges so that you can get the formal training you need for a professional career in photography, you would need to find a school. Consider the following when looking for a school, you budget, the schools location, the schools program, and what you expect and want to learn at school. Collage is expensive. You have to work with what you are willing to pay for school. In connection to this, if the school is not around your area, are you willing to move out just to go to school or do you want to stay near home? Check on the schools near you area first before looking at school in another city or state. The program is also important when picking out a school. Some schools are better at a specific field in photography then others. If this fits your criteria and interest, this school might just be the one for you.

After you have chosen a school and a program, you would need to work with the equipment. most of the time, students would think that they need to get the most high end, top of the line, powerful cameras so they can get better pictures for class. Investing on a camera is a good thing. But buying the most expensive ones does not really guarantee you better pictures. a lot of professional photographers would only use the most basic cameras and lenses and would still get beautiful shots. Most of the schools would also let you borrow equipment you dont have so you really dont have to spend a fortune on cameras and lenses.

Most importantly, you have to be creative and inspired to go to photography school. These are the most important aspects that you need to take the photos you have been dreaming of taking and to set off a career in photography.
