Automatically writing 'Yours Sincerely' after typing the abbreviation 'YS' or correcting two upper case letters at the start of every word; Microsoft Word has been doing this for a long time now, but browsers and chat programs haven't.
PhraseExpress offers this wonderful functionality for all applications where text needs to be entered and it can do much more. It's like this software has a brain of its own, as it learns on its own which sentences the user writes frequently and offers appropriate sentence completion options. Even complex macros with programs starts and simulation by mouse clicks and movements are now possible !
For every individual text module, you can specify whether or not it should take over the text automatically or after a key press. In addition to the large number of practical functions, you also have a couple of gimmicky features thrown in. This includes adding a text module with a random quote from a list for email signatures or forum entries.
The paid versions of PhraseExpress includes: Easy ( $30), Standard ($50) and Professional ($140). Easy as expected is a bit short of functions, while the standard version which is FREE for private use offers more than enough for most users.
The PRO version has two additional functions - text modules and modules including all formats of Microsoft Word, and the embedded office objects can be managed and inserted. Also, pop-up menus with text and phrase module lists can bbe supermiposed on the desktop.
The Network version of this software saves text modules and macros on the server as well as locally. The network-compatible version of PhraseExpress can work without a server version of windows as long as there is LAN on the computer !
VERDICT
Overall this application is high on features and performance despite its boring user interface. It sure is worth using (as it is FREEWARE) if you're a real typist. The download page link is below:
