If you would like to get more done throughout the day, do jogging, walking and swimming activities. Doing aerobic exercises increases the health of your heart and blood vessels. It prevents heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Don't be discouraged if you feel like you have a long way to go, it takes time.
Strengthening exercises address the common problems with injury. Muscular dystrophy is a result of lying down or sitting too much during recovery. A physical therapist will encourage you as you journey to get your strength back. Leg strength can be increased with calf and leg raises. Ankles or wrists are little places that physical therapists will have exercises for.
Stretching exercises are quite possibly the more important thing you can do right now for overall wellness. Everyone should do stretches everyday to keep muscles and joints healthy. If you do other exercising, loosen up your muscles and warm them up first to prevent injury.
