Physical and technical Puppy Obedience Training

When your puppy is barking incessantly and just won't stop, it is really not easy to take your puppy through obedience training.

A lot of the time if you use a firm voice and command your puppy to 'Stop', 'Hush', or 'Quiet Down', he will stop his barking, but sometimes he may just refuse to comply.

Still, being patient and understanding with your puppy while you try to figure out what is causing the barking is much better than getting mad and punishing your little pup.

Remember that dogs like to bark for the fun of it, and if this is so, you can train him to stop by pulling his leash when he begins barking too much

Dogs don't always bark just for fun, however, and there are several reasons your puppy might bark and bark.

Consider this common reason for barking~ that your puppy may be trying to tell you about some pain or an ailment of his you can't see.

Maybe your puppy is barking because he is afraid of something or someone that is bothering him, and may need you to help alleviate those fears or take him somewhere he feels safer.

Maybe your puppy is barking because he is bored. Try taking some more time out of your day to take him for a walk or pet him.

Sometimes you just don't have the time to spend with your pup right when he needs you, and in that instance you can supply him with some new toys to keep him busy and happy. He may just be barking for a little attention.

If your puppy barks a lot and you shout at him and he barks back... you may have created a game for your dog that he wants to keep playing!

Instead, if you simply ignore his barking, after a while he will go quiet.

Keeping favorite treats on hand for your puppy, such as sausages or a favorite biscuit, will be great for rewarding your puppy once he stops his barking. This will help him to stop barking for longer periods of time.

There are some breeds of dogs, such as German Shepherds and Alsatians, who will need a great deal of exercise right from the beginning days of their obedience training.

These dogs need lots of physical exercise to keep them healthy and happy. If you own a dog like this, it is your responsibility to make sure they are taken out often and have plenty of room to run.
