Ping Anser Forged Irons Worth Getting Fitted Review

When I first held the Ping Anser Forged Irons, I was skeptical but after playing a dozen rounds now I am very comfortable with the line and the club really does move through the turf with ease. I tryed other forged irons from Mizuno and Callaway, and while they are great forged irons they are also harder to hit consistently.

I'm a half a club shorter, but know what to expect everytime from the Ping Anser Forged Irons. I like to hit golf clubs from Ping. I hit Ping Rapture V2 Irons for some time which I think are good but I find easier hit with the Anser. They are an excellent choice for a lower handicap player looking for great feel and playability with a softer feel, good feedback and good workability in a forged iron. These clubs are truely built with quality, you can tell the first time you hold them in your hands they are really well made.

The Ping Anser Forged Irons give you a great blend between forged feel and cast forgiveness. Distance is above average and the long irons are extremely easy to hit. Forged from soft 8620 Carbon Steel, this Ping Anser golf set makes way for better distance and greater shots. Also I like their great looking. The look is a cross between a classic forged iron with the thin lines and narrow sole and a cast iron with a little thicker top line and a wider sole.

From from the magazine: The shorter irons feature a smaller head, but when you progress into the traditionally harder-to-hit long irons they are larger, which aids forgiveness and gives a little bit of much-needed confidence. In fact, the 3 and 4-irons felt incredibly forgiving and if I was using these on a regular basis Id seriously re-think if there was any need for a hybrid. They dont look dissimilar from the fabulous Ping i20 irons for sale and I didnt find a great deal of difference these seemed to fly a little lower than my current set.

The bars are thinner but angle out wider in the long irons, which lowers the center of gravity to help the golfer achieve a higher launch angle. As you move through the set to the shorter irons, the stabilizing bars thicken and become more vertical, raising the CG location to help achieve higher spin, more control and a more penetrating ball flight. A progressive set design offers forgiveness in the long irons and greater control in the short irons.
