Misunderstanding One: Color pinhole spy camera is always better than Black and White.
You might feel silly to think to choose Black and White spy cameras or Color cameras. Many industry experts recommend buying the color types. Actually, opting for color or not depends on the lighting condition of the environment we are going to use in.
Color cameras need better lighting conditions to create colorful, vivid images, just like digital cameras would produce better shots in brighter environment. So if your are going to use your spy gadgets outside or where has sufficient lighting, color spy cameras are recommended. In a dark room, please go for black and white.
Some high end types have automatic settings to adjust to black and white under certain lighting conditions. But these spy cameras are usually more expensive.
Misunderstanding Two: Spy cameras can detect motion.
All the pinhole spy cameras have no capability of detecting motion. Only professional recording device like quality DVR have the ability of motion detection. Average recording devices also don't have this function.
Misunderstanding Three: The camera doesn't record.
Spy camera is not a recording device. It only records when it is connected to a recording device. Just like the function of our eyes and brain - eyes are responsible for seeing and observing while the brain take the responsibility to store and handle information.
Misunderstanding Four: The camera's footage couldn't be viewed via PC.
All footage from such electronic gadget is in composite video unless some specifically states. For viewing through PC or other device, we should convert the footage into digital footage first.
