Barbara Fava is a Managing Director at PFM Asset Management LLC. Ms. Fava is responsible for developing and managing investment programs for operating funds and the proceeds of tax-exempt bonds and has consulted on investment pools in eleven states. She also provides specialized investment and cash management consulting services to public sector clients across the country.

Prior to joining PFM, Barbara Fava served as Deputy State Treasurer for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Director of the Bureau of Cash Management and Investments. In these positions she was directly responsible for managing the Commonwealth's $5 billion short-term investment portfolio and coordinating cash flows for over 100 operating and bond funds. During her tenure at the State Treasury, Ms. Fava designed and implemented a commingled investment pool for Commonwealth funds. This pool has become a model for other state investment pools.

Barbara Fava received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Economics and Finance from Clarion University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association and the Association of Finance Professionals. She is a frequent lecturer on investment, banking and cash management topics.
