In our previous report on Placements 2011 we had reported about the rise in pay packages across leading B-schools of the country (http://www.mbauniverse.com/article/id/4345/). The rise surely signals a buoyant economy and a return of hiring sentiments among companies.
Be it the IIMs or the other leading B-schools, such as XIMB, XLRI, BIMTECH, IIFTthe sentiments are high across the leading B-school campuses this year.
In this exclusive article we analyse the sectoral trends of Placements 2011. This will give us a clear picture on which sectors of the economy are having high demand for MBAs. As the placements are still going at many B-schools we base our analysis on the data shared by some of the leading B-schools. Read further to know more:

The BFSI, Consulting, and Marketing profiles have once again emerged as the most sought after profiles by MBA students.
The BFSI sector is emerging as the most preferred sector of MBA students this year. Following the BFSI sector closely are the Consulting Sector and the FMCG/Marketing sector.
