Vancouver is great to visit any time of the year

, even during the autumn season. Most tourists think that Vancouver is only great to visit during the summer months, but the reality is that there are a lot of things to enjoy in this city even after summer. During the autumn season, Vancouver still packs a lot of excitement to keep tourists busy and entertained. Here are some of the best things to do while in Vancouver during the autumn season.

The VanDusen Botanical Garden is one of the more frequently visited destinations in Vancouver during fall. This botanical garden boasts of a wide range of flower and plant species like Autumn Crocus and Heathers which are in full bloom during the fall months. Visitors will find the flowers and plants very picturesque and relaxing. Visitors can also drop by the AlmaDusen Meadow Garden which hosts amazing Japanese Maples.

Sea Wall/West End: The sea wall, which stretches around Stanley Park, is one of the most beautiful parts of Vancouver. Housed in Vancouver's west end, a walk on the sea wall leaves you with a tour of the west end and views out across the Burrard Inlet.

Yaletown: Home to Vancouver's freshest restaurants. Looking for that chic bar? Check out Hamilton St for blocks of different exquisite restaurants. Also, GM Place, the home to Olympic Hockey is just a stones throw away. So make sure to check it out as it will be hectic! Always something new to be found in Yaletown.

Do you love to walk by the seaside? In Vancouver there are many, many places where you can do that. In West Vancouver you can stroll along the wooden seawalk and step away a short distance and enjoy a variety of delicious foods. Visit Vancouver's famous Stanley Park where you have seven kilometers of seaside walking in one of the most beautiful parks in the world. This park offers rose gardens and lily ponds for those who like nature a little tamed and huge dark natural forest areas where you can truly get off the beaten path.

Stanley Park is also home to the Vancouver Aquarium where you can see Orca and Beluga Whales and much more. Nearby the Aquarium there is also a Children's Farmyard and a Miniature Train Ride.

There are many trails throughout the park including a trail to Beaver Lake located in the park's west coast forests. You will also find rhododendron and rose gardens, totem Poles and several good restaurants. In the summer months the park operates fast food concessions near Second Beach. Local artists often display their paintings in the park when the weather is pleasant.

Tatlow Park is located at the intersection of West 3rd Avenue and Point Grey Road in the Kitsilano area. With meandering streams, large trees and an abundance of space to lay a picnic blanket, this park is a great place to picnic. The reason we've ranked it number one is because it's somewhat of a hidden gem. Most tourists will flock to picnic spots off the seawall or at the beach and miss out Tatlow Park. For this reason, you should definitely check it out. This park also offers beach access via a foot path and is a great place to watch the sunset.
