Now, Eastern's men's golf team will play in its fourth tournament since mid-March this weekend when it competes in the Missouri State Invitational at Branson Creek Golf Club in Branson, Missouri.

The golf tournament is the second in their string of three tournaments in three weeks. "Spring golf is tough--there's no getting around that," David Lawrence, junior, said. "Coming off the winters we're always rusty and it's just a matter of time to get out and play some tournament golf."

Lawrence has been on the team before and has experienced what he called the spring 'grind' before. On this veteran team of one senior, five juniors and two sophomores only one member has yet to experience the rigors of spring tournament play.

"Coming in I knew I would need to focus more and put more practice time in because most of the players are better than the players at the junior college level," Sebens said, who likes theBurner 2.0 Irons very much.

"We take our school work and try to get it done in the hotel room at night," Sebens said. "Our coach helps us out a lot and gives us the day off the next day we get back to get everything caught up."

"Everyone's games are starting to come around and we will be ready to go (for) the OVC tournament," Sebens said.
