One of the first, most important tasks on any wedding planner's agenda is the wedding invitations to enable you to invite all of your guests, be it to the whole day or the reception. Sending the invites out early and ensuring people are given enough notice to put the date in their diary and to be sure they'll be there on your special day is a good idea.

The wedding invitations help set the tone for the wedding, whether it will be formal or informal. Choosing the wedding stationery can also set the colour and theme that you can chose to follow, using it throughout the wedding as you choose colours to tie in with the day.

The invitation for the wedding can contain all the info your guests will need to know for the day i.e., dress code, directions, accommodation and gift list. Don't forget to add RSVP details so that you can have an idea of the amount of guests able to attend. Once you have a list of your wedding guests, you can then move onto confirming numbers with the venue, catering companies and start on the table plan for the big day. This in itself can be a challenge!
