Learning just a few tricks and tips can excel your farm town playing to the next level and can allow you to play faster and gain more coins than ever before.
First you need to know what to look out for in the game. Just because other people in the marketplace look all nice doesn't mean they are. Remember that anyone can change their avatar and name to "Grammy Nell" if they want to. One of the tricks that players use in the marketplace is the double click my feet and I'll hire you. What you're actually doing when you double click on someones feet is hiring them to work at your farm and harvest your fields. It's an old trick but as I last checked it still works. Usually you can spot the FarmTown players that use this because they'll say "double click on my feet" or something similar.
Another tactic players use in the marketplace is to try and clear the room of other players. Once they do this it will obviously give them more of an opportunity to get hired for work. If you were hired for harvesting and when you get to the person's Farm Town farm and it doesn't need harvesting or plowing then you probably fell victim to this tactic. There's no use going back to the Marketplace and looking for them because it's unlikely you'll go back to the same room. You can also leave them a message, but they probably don't care anyway and will likely just laugh at you. You may also want to tell your friends about it so they don't end up getting in the same situation. But remember names can be changed fairly easy on the game and so can farm names. They can be changed before you ever even get a chance to tell your friends.
You might also get the email that there is a hacker named so and so and you should not hire them or have anything to do with them as they will take all your money and do very bad things to your farm. Well it's just a hoax, like I said before you can change your name easily and a hacker would have several accounts it they were out to vandalize farms on FarmTown. I just don't see the point in it anyway.
You can always report abuse to the Farm Town developers or Facebook, if you think that you may be the victim of tactics that are not becoming of the game. Plus you can ignore and block people from ever returning to your farm or even chatting with you.
I know these tips kind of cast a shadow on the marketplace. It's not my intention to drive people away from the marketplace, I just wanted to share these tips so you can play a better FarmTown game and level up faster than ever before.
