Since online poker gained its tremendous popularity via the World Series on television, land based casinos have experienced a huge growth in video poker as well. For sure, a lot of noble people want to test their skills against some human opponents and decide to play at the cash table. But at the same time there are a large number of people that like the characteristics of the game, but they know they don't stand a chance against the whales at the poker tables. Luckily for these noble people, they can experience the thrill and excitement of playing poker, but they know their odds in advance.

As a regular player at the poker tables I decided to give video poker a chance as well, to see why so many people love this game. I took a seat next to a very noble guy who helped me figuring out how to play the game. At first I was confused by the many different versions I could choose from at the machine, but the noble neighbor told me that I would get the best odds at the deuces are wild'video poker version. I had to think for a moment, since I wasn't used to this question at the normal poker table. I could easily afford this gesture, since my first spin at the machine delivered me a straight.

After about an hour of playing video poker, I was up about a thousand dollar. I was so amazed by this huge profit, that I was asking myself why I never played video poker before. For sure, this was a lot more relaxing than playing at the cash table against human opponents, since I didn't need to keep my concentration up all the time. I started to increase my bets and unfortunately this turned out the wrong way. Half an hour later I was looking at a net loss of three hundred dollar and my excitement made room for deception.

Eventually I walked away from the machine with a small profit of about fifty dollars. I decided that it was time for the all or nothing bet at the roulette table. A very noble dealer greeted me at the tables and could see me putting my total stack of two thousand dollar at the color red. A few dying seconds later I saw the ball hitting a black number and my night was ruined.

Getting home very depressed, I logged into my account at noble casino and decided to try my luck there. I was happy to find out that God was still loving me, as a few minutes later I made up my whole loss from the night before. And thus ended a night of great excitement and funny turn of events.
