Every time we go on a trip or have a free evening it's always take the deck of cards out, let's have a game. A little back story about them. In 1965, photographer and artist David Boss made a series of paintings that became the first series of posters NFL team. These paintings were then placed on game programs next season and there or the following year (1967) placed on playing cards. Most Historians still are not sure how and when the letters came into being. One theory is that it came from Persia; and then again some say it can be from China. Since both theories can not be correct, it can be possible that the letters were invented independently in several parts from across world. Its is the theory I like most, especially because this theory means that the Chinese letters are very different and therefore it is possible that it is in fact two separate discoveries.

The origin of the letters can be anything but historians agree on some facts which are that the Playing cards could have been finally brought to Eastern Europe. And the fact that other cards to play above were hand printed individually and was afforded only by the rich.

Europeans started making cards in mass very late and that stopped hand printed cards mostly in Europe as some countries still continue the traditions of hand-painted playing cards for centuries until the present day.There are sets of playing cards that are made in Orissa, India, painted by one Mr Banamali Mahapatra. He started painting Ganjifa cards almost five generations back and his family still continues it. For a good craftsman it takes around 2 to 3 weeks to finish a full deck.

Cardboard is also handmade, usually from pressed layers of paper or fabric layers bonded (this bridge is made of fabric). And I can imagine the handmade paints that were used for the work. Overall, this cover is certainly one of Ganjifa unusual deck of cards that I prefer for playing all the time even now.
