Plenty Of Help Available For Entrepreneurs
With many entrepreneurs keen to get their business ideas of the ground
, its a great time for them thanks to the ample help available both at home and abroad, down various different avenues.
One form of help comes in the form of British business tycoon Richard Branson, who recently launched a new 2.2m academy in the Caribbean, set to do exactly that- help budding entrepreneurs.
The 61-year-old, who is chairman of the Virgin Group and has a personal fortune of around 2.6bn, has established the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The project will start with 14 young aspiring entrepreneurs, who were chosen earlier on this year from a total of over 100 applications.
During their course, the recruits will be taught the basics of how to run a business, and will master skills such as dealing with tax law, understanding accounting, and handy hints and tips for a successful marketing career. Hopefully this course will give the entrepreneurs an invaluable amount of business knowledge, kitting them out with everything they need to run a successful company.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Branson said: "Some of these young people will go on to launch successful businesses. However, some will also fall flat on their face.
"Becoming an entrepreneur is all about making mistakes, but also about learning from them. I've made hundreds of mistakes in my career but I don't really think about it in that way. You've got to get over them because one error isnt going to bring the house crashing down around you."

And, if thats not enough, theres also business help available closer to home, too. In Cambridge, an initiative has been designed to help support startup companies in the east of England.
The Startup Masterclass programme is now well under way, after a launch event at ideaSpace in Cambridge. Successful entrepreneurs from the technology, biotech and environmental sectors gathered to share knowledge with new startups and people looking to launch their own ventures.
The Startup Masterclass programme, which is being funded by job creation organisation IdeaSpace Enterprise Accelerator, will involve events in Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich. The idea is to support "early-stage, innovation-based businesses", whether that's a freelancer looking to strike out on their own, or a young company looking to secure private investment.
Mauro Ciaccio, Programme Organiser, said: "Cambridge is a hotbed of innovation, but as many startups have found to their cost, simply having a great idea is not a guarantee of success. What we aim to do with this programme is provide a combination of inspiration and best-practice advice to nurture startups and help them thrive and grow."
