Pogo Connect Pressure Sensitive Ipad Stylus Launched
Ten One Design, which is the maker of numerous popular iPad accessories
, was testing the Pogo Connect pressure sensitive iPad stylus since March. However, recently it made things official, when it revealed about how the product will look like and its availability. The product is nicknamed as Blue Tiger. According to the information that is sent to the users, who signed up for news about the device, the Pogo Connect will be available in the month of October. Wacom has been ruling from many years the digital stylus market for photo retouchers, artists and others interested in the worlds of pens and computers. However, touch-screen tablets have rewritten the rules for digital input. Now, Ten One Design expects that its new Pogo Connect stylus will prove successful.
The Connect makes use of Bluetooth 4.0 in order to convey pressure sensitivity information to the iPad. It works with the latest iPad right away. There is also something for iPad 1 and 2 users as they are not left out completely. The owners of an iPhone 4S, as well as, the newly launched iPhone 5, will also be able to download a bridge app on their devices with a view to get their Pogo connected to their tablets. However, the Pogo Connect is not the first one that offers Bluetooth-powered pressure sensitive stylus. Adonit provides the Jot Touch that was greeted by mixed reviews because of the hit-or-miss experience of 3rd-party software support.
Connect already sells the ordinary Pogo and Pogo Sketch tablet stylus devices that are held like a pen; however, which a smartphone or tablet sees as a finger. The new Pogo Connect adds a higher-end feature, i.e. pressure sensitivity, from the Wacom world. With the help of this feature, the harder users press down with the tip of the stylus, the wider or darker the line their brush stroke will appear, at least at the time when they will be using compatible software. A compatible software here means the one, which knows the way to interpret the extra detail the pen sends to Bluetooth 4.0.
Novice, as well as, professional artists, by capturing the nuances of any drawing, can easily create detailed and multifaceted digital paintings in just a few minutes. Now, it is extremely easy for you to control line width and opacity of a drawn line by just applying more or less pressure. Moreover, its palm rejection feature helps you to keep your drawings clear of any unnecessary and unwanted marks, blots, smudges and more while your hands rest on the screen in between drawing sessions.
The Pogo Connect also features a built-in radio transmitter so that users can easily search a lost pen through determining their locale in relation to stylus. You can easily track down its location through the signal transmitted by the stylus; thus, making this the first pen that is almost impossible to lose. The user can simply use an iPhone/iPad for displaying the estimated distance to the pen that is showed intuitively in a radar-style view.
