The Polar FS2C heart monitorwhat to say? Countless things to be exact! This brilliant piece of equipment is an all-round watch made only for people who are serious about their workouts. The specs of the Polar FS2C are not like any heart rate monitor out there.

I bought the Polar FS2C some time ago just after doing a bit of research since I was continually annoyed with my previous ones. I've never been happier with a purchase in my life!

Ok, so enough about my life's story, let me get down to saying why I love this exact model. Firstly, let me explain its features:

Body Measurement Features

The Polar FS2C boasts some incredibly handy body measurement specs. You're able to measure the maximum and average heart rate of training; it is also able to calculate your heart rate bpm (beat per minute).

Its HR-based target zones (with visual and audible alarm) enable you to outline your ideal target zones for a training session. Your heart rate is monitored to help determine the proper intensity for you. Its visual and audible alarm will be activated once you run out of preset zones.

A handy feature comes in the form of the "Polar OwnCode" coded transmission feature. You're able to automatically lock in a code to transmit your heart rate to the training computer. This coding helps prevent interference from other training computers.

The manual target zone feature enables you to manually enter a target zone that you think is suitable for your training. This feature can also be set in beats per minute.

Other Cool Features

Here are some of my personal favorite features of the FS2C:

The "HeartTouch" - this is a button-free operation of the wrist unit. When this feature is turned on during your training, a lot of different training information can be gathered without you having to push any buttons. All you need to do is get your training computer close to your transmitter.

Some other unique features are its backlight, date and weekday indicator, 12/24-hour time display, and it is water resistant to about 50m. The only fault I can think of, at this point in time, is that you have to send it back to the factory/manufacturer when your battery runs out.

All in all, I think this heart rate monitor is one of the finest I have ever owned and it has never caused any frustrations for me the whole time I've used it. If you're wanting to take your training to the next level then the Polar FS2C is definitely worth considering.
