I have had these speakers for some time now and they hold up great to the elements. No issues. Sound quality is about what you would expect from Polk, but not as good as the Klipsch speakers inside the house. That is why I rate them 4 star. Overall, very good. Would purchase again.

I am pleasantly surprised of the overall performance of these speakers. I have them placed outside over my deck. I was worried they would sound hollow and the sound quality would be a sacrifice to durability. They sound great. Not much on the low end (base) but exactly what you want for outdoor speakers. Base for the most part is unnecessary outdoors. The highs are crisp and clear with no distortion at high volumes. They are directional within the bracket to focus the sound where desired. The sound encompasses a large area with excellent overall quality. I would recommend these speakers for outdoor use.

Very good clear sound
These speakers are great with clear sound and plenty of power. I was concerned when the box arrived with a dent in one side. The damage was very minor with only one very tiny dent in one of the speaker grills which is easily repairable. No harm to the speaker itself. I installed them under the eves of my patio horizontally rather than vertically to be able to aim the music for the desired coverage. The mounting instructions said to mount the speakers down a little from the underside of the eves to reduce the bass effect so that's what I did and got a good balanced sound. The speakers are connected to a TEAC AG-790 amp using 16/4 speaker wire so I can choose which set I want to use (or both). My music source right now is only from a Delphi SkyFi2 XM satellite radio using a stereo docking adaptor. Good speakers, good sound. I put a pair of these on my back deck, and connected it to my Yamaha RX-V3900's second zone. I was absolutely blown away - and so were the rest of my friends. I'm no audiophile, but I am a music lover. The sound is warm and full. Absolutely do not hesitate to buy these speakers! I also have the suggested in-wall speakers in a 5.1 surround sound setup in my living room - another fantastic performer!

Great Speakers and Great Price on Amazon
I've seen these speakers for $200 to $250 in 'brick in mortar' stores, so they were a steal at Amazon's price.
They were easy to install and sound great. I've seen others complaining about a lack of bass, but I personally do not have that problem. Sound carries differently outside, and without walls and other hard objects to 'bounce' off of speakers are going to sound differently outdoors. Placement of the speakers will also determine how they sound. For example, placing them up high near a ceiling will help give more bass.
Some outdoors speakers sound 'hollow', and are not capable of delivering a decent range for outdoor music listening. A song like 'Adagio In D Minor' still sounds good, and any speaker that can solidly reproduce the sounds on 'Adagio In D Minor' is okay in my book. These speakers sound great, and I think they are the best speakers you can buy at this price point.
Sure, you could jump into the $200+ range (on Amazon) for better sounding outdoor speakers, but unless you are a serious audiophile I wouldn't recommend spending the extra cash.
