Popularity Of Apartments In The Philippines

Condominiums are considered as one of the most popular types of housing in the Philippines today

. However, other than condominiums, apartments have also been a very popular type of housing for many Filipinos. Although condominiums have grown very popular among many Filipinos, there are still those that still prefer to live in an apartment before moving to buying a house.

There are many reasons as to why apartments are still very popular in the Philippines even though there are condominiums available in the market. One apparent reason for its popularity in the market was because of its affodability. Compared to buying a house, a townhouse, or a condominium which would require a lot of investment, people could easily find a sense of residence with just a little amount of capital. This is because apartments are usually rented rather than bought.

However, other than its affordability, apartments are also known for its advantages for specific situations. This is the reason why there are many types of apartments available in the Philippine market. One example is with the studio type apartment.

Studio type apartments

Studio type apartments are considered as the smallest type of apartment with the cheapest rents in a given area. According to many Real estate Philippines experts, these kinds of apartment usually consist mainly of a large room which is the living, dining, and bedroom combined. There are usually kitchen facilities as part of this central room, but the bathroom is its own smaller separate room.

Studio type apartments are usually not appropriate for families with 2 or more children because of its size. These types of apartments, however, are more appropriate with students or non-married individuals. Students usually benefit from apartments, particularly those near their schools or campuses.

Other than the studio type apartments, there are also types of apartments which are perfect for smaller families. According to Real estate Philippines experts, these types of apartments are known as the one-bedroom apartments.

One-bedroom apartments

Moving up from the efficiencies are one-bedroom apartments, in which one bedroom is separate from the rest of the apartment. Its advantage is its size, which is larger than studio type apartments. Most one-bedroom apartments could accommodate a family with children. However, there are also the two-bedroom, three-bedroom, etc. apartments which are much more spacious.

Garden apartment complexes

This type of apartment is similar to that of townhouses in terms of appearance as well as surrounding. A garden apartment complex consists of low-rise apartment buildings built with landscaped grounds surrounding them. According to Real estate Philippines experts, a garden apartment has some characteristics of a townhouse: each apartment has its own building entrance, or just a few apartments share a small foyer or stairwell at each building entrance. However, unlike townhouses, each apartment occupies only one level.
