Porsche Are In A Search For Usa's Oldest Model

Porsche will this year celebrate 60 years on the U.S

. market, which is why it has launched a new competition, named "Oldest Porsche in the USA." As the name suggests, the German manufacturer is in search of old Porsche in the United States to properly celebrate six decades of performance.

Manufacturer in Stuttgart also called on all owners and holders of classical models to participate in an impressive movements of aggregation. Owners with the following models are wanted for a huge event : 356, 911, 912, 914, 924, 928, 944, 968, Boxster, Cayenne, Carrera GT and Cayman. Now we can tell that, for example, Cayenee is very popular in the latest years and it is definately not a classic car but the event planners may expect a huge number of the SUV's to participate.

Porsche Owners of older copies in the United States will receive special recognition and will become eligible for the award of international prizes. To support its searches, Porsche has launched a special website, called Porsche 60 years dot com. If you have eligible Porsche papers you can also participate at this event along side other passionates of sports cars.

The Porsche brand was established in Germany in 1948. In 1950, New York City businessman Max Hoffman introduced the Porsche 356 to America, sparking a love affair that has lasted for six decades. Now, in 2010, starting from 13 of August you can enter into an online and offline competition that is rocking the automotive world.

All entries will be evaluated for authenticity by a Porsche panel of experts, including noted American Porsche historians from the Porsche Club of America, but that is well worth it, since one model - the show sensation - will be selected for display at the Porsche stand during this year's Los Angeles Auto Show, where it will join the company's newest models.
