While this vacuum is typically used to support drywall sanding and other dust producing tools, this is the only vacuum my wife will allow in our house. She loves the fact that the exhaust is filtered and dust does not come back into her freshly cleaned house.

two years old and not going so strong
It worked well for a year, then the tool-activated switch got finicky; then at the two-year mark, both switches went out completely. At this price, and at the repair price of the complicated switch mechanism, this effectively has a two-year life span. Would I buy it again? Probably not.

Must have all around shop vac
I have owned this vac for several years now and feel I can give a fair opinion about it. (Sorry Amazon, I didn't purchase it from you.)
I originally bought this for the power tool operated dust collection. Sure, it catches the dust from the sander or the saw it's connected to and has a very long and it's easily bendable hose that doesn't get in the way when you need to move around. The hose is strong and has not punctured or broken from all the abuse I've given it. I like that it runs for sometime after your tool shuts off to help clean out any last minute dust still in the hose. The electrical cord is long and very tough. The wheels are nice when I pull it around by the hose and follows me nicely rather than tipping over.
But it has become an all around work horse for me. I ended up buying a hand held drywall sander with dust attachment and it does an incredible job on the amount of dust in the air, on me and in my lungs. I even used it at work when the boss asked me to put up and sand drywall around our computer servers, he was more than a little worried about the dust I would create, but was very happy in the end with how much dust it collected and didn't bother the servers. It can operate with or without a bag when you suck up debris and has great suction all these years later (I've only changed the top filter once). It is relatively quiet for a vacuum and relatively light since I take it everywhere to side jobs I do to help with clean-up. I have not used it for the Wet part of Wet/Dry vac.
It would be nice to have a cord storage or place to wrap it, but all in all, I feel this little work horse is well built and worth the money.
