Extracurricular activities presuppose students interaction and cooperation

. There are many types of activities for young people. Every educational establishment encourages their students to participate in extracurricular activities. Moreover, all teachers and parents are firmly sure that extracurricular activities are extremely beneficial for all students. The variety of extracurricular activities is great. Students can be engaged in different types as academic, athletic or artistic activities. They provide students with the possibility to communicate with other students and to do things they like. However, there are some negative sides of participating in extracurricular activities.

But first, let us consider all benefits.

1.It is a possibility to meet a lot of new people with the same interests as yours. You can find a lot of new friends and you will always have an interesting communication.

2.Many students participate in extracurricular activities because they consider them as a chance to improve their skills and abilities. As a matter of fact, every activity is aimed at developing some certain skill. However, every activity develops such skills as time-management and team-work skills.

3.Participating in activity is a possibility to spend ones time profitably and not just hanging around without any purpose.

4.Psychologist assume that participating in extracurricular activities lower the percentage of consuming drags, smoking and drinking alcohol among young people.

Consider certain disadvantages of extracurricular activities.

1.Some students are so involved in extracurricular activities that they forget about the necessity of their academic studies. Consequently, it may influence their grades.

2.As it has already been mentioned, time-management skills are important for those who are involved in any kind of activity. For some students it is very difficult to manage their time properly and balance their activity and study.

3.A very significant disadvantage is a possible inequality among students. One can like the activity and, at the same time, he/she may feel detached from other students.
