Do remember that you are to write a very serious academic work which should be very helpful for your future career. Of course, it is all about your dissertation.

4.So, as far as your dissertation is concerned you should start working on it as early as possible. You may start even before your study starts. Of course, postgraduate study presupposes that students already get interested in some definite fields so it is a bit easier to choose the appropriate topic. You should start thinking over your topic in summer. Read a lot of literature on the subject, gain the necessary background knowledge.

5.Finally, you should make up your mind on your future career. Your study will depend on your choice. You should know what knowledge and skills you will need in your future career.
