Winter is coming up soon. We can see it in the way animals are behaving, trees are turning the way the air smells. Kids are back in school and fall foods are once again hitting the tables. While youre out in the yard working, spread your fall fertilizers and clean up flower beds.

Be sure to seal around dryer vents, put insulators on faucets and blow out sprinkler systems too. There are some great new tools to use to clean out gutters around the house that are cheap. Run down to the hardware store near you and see if you can find gutter cleaners with telescoping handles.

Indoor projects are going to be a little more labor intensive. Cleaning out closets, donating clothes, pulling out cold weather clothes and doing a thorough cleaning are all on the fall to do list. These projects can be done over the course of a few months, so take it easy and tackle one project at a time.

To be safe, have all your appliances checked and hood vents inspected in kitchens. These things arent thought of often, but should not be ignored.
