Prescription Drugs - a leading cause of death!

Prescription Drugs - a leading cause of death!

Different stats rate perscription medication as between the first to the third LEADING cause of death - including conservative estimates from the AMA!!! Read that again.

When we become health care professionals, we take the Hippocratic Oath... We take a vow to 'first, do no harm'...

So, what happened along the way?

We spend millions of dollars researching heart disease, cancer, diabetes...you are told you need some drug, or some operation. Yet, these medications are the leading cause of death! This is just noted as 'being the cost of medicine'. If there was ANY other condition causing this much devastation, this much human suffering, we would be mortified, and act to bring about change.

Latest evidence proves the 'cure' for the diseases of modern civilisation is lifestyle change. So not only do drugs KILL us, they are not even the best choice of care.

There is no pill that can overcome lack of exercise!

Cardiologist Dean Ornish showed that a no drug, lifestyle modification approach was superior to drug therapy. No-one seems to be listening! He compared 2 treatment groups: one was given the traditional drug regime, the other group NO drugs and lifestyle changes. The best the drug group could hope for was a halting of disease progression - and that does not take into account the medication risks. The lifestyle group, on the other hand, could not only halt their condition, but could reverse it! If their was a drug that could do this, it would be presecribed by every medical doctor in the world. But, as it is not, this remarkable knowledge sadly appears to fall on deaf ears in that profession.

Studies have also proven beyond doubt THE very best way to overcome Diabetes type 2 is lifestyle modification, not different drugs for different symptoms - which never address the underlying cause/s!

Lifestyle modification is not only the safest way to improve your health, it is the BEST way to improve your health.

We spend more time and money on our cars, our house, our holidays, even our televisions, than we do investing in our health. Yet, our health is infinitely more important. I read a quote once 'We spend our younger years trying to create weath, and our older years trying toregain our health'. Your health is crucial. Lifestyle changes are the way to true health - without the deadly consequences!
