Prevent Jams, Bumps and Blockages in Your Workplace Car Park

Many people who have used a car park whether it has been at the local shopping centre

or at their place of work will no doubt be familiar with the various stresses and potential for accidents such as trying to find the last space, trying to squeeze through your car door as someone has parked perilously close to your car and some drivers not being observant bumping into your car whether you are present to witness it or not.

As a business owner providing a safe place to park your employee's cars is often an expected feature, unless your business is located in the middle of the city where parking spaces can be rare. If you have a car park then it will need maintaining whether you are simply laying the foundations or providing a secure environment including security guards and barriers.

Clear marking important when it comes to car parks, you will want each space to be clearly defined to make sure that there is enough space for cars to get in and out. The temptation for drivers to park outside of designated parking bays may be too much when spaces are low, hence stating where the motorists can and cannot park should be done with safety signs clearly visible in the area as well as double yellow lines and No Parking' painted on the surface.

Some businesses will not be open all hours and so will need barriers and blockades to make sure no one unlawfully parks on your property when your business is closed. This can also prevent others trespassing in the night which can be a problem for some businesses where their property gets damaged and other criminal acts.

There are plenty of workplace safety and traffic management accessories such as raising barriers that can be padlocked shut as well as speed humps that can help enforce speed restrictions on site. You may also need speed restriction signs as many companies will impose site traffic speeds of 15mph or less to cut down the amount of accidents that can happen on site when cars and pedestrians are sharing the same space.

Some workplaces may find that people are simply not listening to emails sent to ask them to move their cars and so other parking enforcement measures such as fines and clamping may be used. There have been some changes to clamping laws recently so make sure you use them wisely and treat them as a final resort rather than a chance to make a quick buck.

Traffic management products are available to buy online, from traffic cones to barriers and fencing, make sure your business is protected and buy these accessories today.
