Today the world is moving at a very fast pace and in this fast moving world one of the most increasing problem is Elder abuse. Today the children are so busy in their hectic schedule that they do not have time to spend with their old parents.
The life of youngsters is so much into themselves that they do not like much interference from their old parents. They do even have time to speak to them. They need their privacy and think that their privacy is dirturbed by the presence of thier parents.
They do not realize that their parents were the one who have spent their entire life just making efforts so that their children can become capable enough and hence support them in their old age.But for youngsters today , it has become their forced responsibility to look and care for their parents. Ultimately they leave their parents in old age home where they have no known faces to help them in their times of need.
Once they leave their parents in old age homes, children just forget about them and get busy in their own lives. They don't even think og going and meeting them again not even once a month. They are least bothered to know the well being of their own parents.
Senior citizens are faced with so many problems like unemployment, malnutrition, depression, lonliness, isolation etc. Some times children leave their parents alone and shift abroad leaving their old parents open in the world of crime.
It is the responsibility infact the duty of children to look after their old parents. When parents can take care of 4 to 5 children then why can't children look after their parents??? In this fast moving world one should not forget our roots but should always stay connected to them.
