Article marketing is popular with many people due to each writer
, blogger or site owner wanting to increase the traffic to his or her own posts and add to more readers. However if not done right, there will be problems arise from it. One of the common problems is that the articles are too focused on the writer and what he or she thinks rather than delivering to help other people. Such self-centred posts will not get anyone's rating as readers are not benefiting from the contents.
Another problem in article marketing is that an individual may stress too much on hype of sales in his or her articles. This may put off people in continuing to read other articles in the same blog or site as it only shows that the writer just want to gain some money and more traffic but has no intention to provide reliable contents for other to use. Readers will find this out easily. It is really not advisable to do this if one wants long term trusted relationship between writer or blogger and reader.
Apart from that, yet another problem lies with the fact that the writer does not specify on a certain topic or headline for his or her articles. Being too general in writing is bad as it does not show an organised writer in giving out proper contents. The target group of readers should be identified and article marketing should focus on serving other's expectation and interest. Rather than beating around the bush in the posts, give direct and informative message. In this modern world, people need shorter time to read yet gain knowledge and help from it. It is also helpful not to be repetitive in every article as reader will come to conclusion a writer is not resourceful to find more new things and topics to give to others.
