Incorporating a corporate marketing video in your tradeshow exhibit strategy is important because a top objective of exhibiting at a tradeshow is to stand out and attract attention. A well produced video can help you do this as it will add sparkle to your exhibit space, provide a form of entertainment and show that you invest in marketing your products and services.

There are certain limitations imposed by the nature of a tradeshow or exhibit. Firstly is the noise level. Adding a voice over is not recommended as it will be difficult to hear due to the high ambient noise level from the event. A music track that flows with the images and text is preferable.

Strong graphic elements are very important to capture people's attention to the exhibit space and generate their interest for more information. The graphics should fit into an overall creative design that takes into consideration the type of business, the market, and the product and services. As well the look and feel of the video should fit with other marketing collateral such as the corporate website, brochures and reflect the colors and graphics already existing in there materials.

Text should be kept to a minimum and used mainly as bullet points or short sentences. Animating the text along with the graphics is essential to communicate your message so that it is dynamic and engaging.

We recently produced a tradeshow video for a manufacturer of global telecommunications equipment. The client attends six to eight tradeshows per year. They already had a video but it was outdated as the company logo and colors had changed.

We had only two weeks to produce a new video that incorporated all the markets served by the company. The customer wanted to use beige or light gray background as they thought it went well with the video. Our design department responded that they are not Apple who can get away with just a product against a stark white screen. We opted for a richer dark gray background that best compliments their new logo and colors.

Here is the final video that incorporates 2D and 3D graphics, which we feel really makes it standout. Our client agrees.
