Promoting products/services through social media is a favorable option. Social media platforms are ideal for promotion, if the BPO units can do it properly. Several social media campaigns fall flat because the call center agents handling the profiles are overeager to push for sales. They try to promote their product/service before they get into any form of interaction with the users. The friends and followers you have on Facebook or Twitter are not there to receive your web links! They are logged in to have some quality time with their friends and folks. If you want to promote something to them, you have to be one of them. To make that happen, the BPO service agents have to interact with them. You will have to make sure that your agents are not pushing themselves too much.

Websites and search engine optimization (SEO) are other ways of promoting products/services online. The call center unit needs to construct a website that acts like an online brochure for what you are trying to sell. Then the SEO specialists at the BPO can work their way through keywords and other methods to get higher SERPs on search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.
