Are you struggling to write profitable articles? Even better.....are you an affiliate marketer? If you are, I'm pretty sure you'll find this helpful! As a matter of fact, when I learned this......and applied it to my article marketing campaigns, it not ONLY exploded my earnings and income, but the benefits this subtle change in strategy has brought to my business remain to this very day.
Epiphany #1: I STOPPED promoting digital downloads, ebooks and those sorts of affiliate offers
No, I'm NOT going to name names.....but YES, these are the products you'll most often see the forums, the blogs and even many article marketing authors recommend you promote. But the truth is, you are literally "boxing out" about 80% of the people PROVEN to be likely to buy products online....simply because they WON'T (and don't) trust this sort of style of selling.
Said differently, whenever I would pick an affiliate product, I used the "would my MOM buy this?" criteria.....as I found it helped me isolate the sort of stuff AVERAGE consumers would buy, and not those of us who are used to the high hype, low value offerings you get with these offers.
Remember.....every MAJOR retailer, those with BIG brands, huge name recognition and enormous advertising budgets also sell online....and MANY have aggressive affiliate campaigns you can join in an hour. (and piggyback off of their big buck promotions and ad spends for FREE)
Epiphany #2: Specificity is the SECRET to Selling (Period!)
The MORE specific your articles are, The HIGHER your articles will rank in the search engines for your most prized terms and audience. audience. The higher your content ranks, the more traffic you are going to get. The more TRAFFIC you get, the more sales you'll make....PERIOD.
If you can use the actual product name in your titles.....even better. (sometimes you can't, depending on a few factors) But even BEYOND names and brands in your titles, people WANT (and search for) specific benefits.
They want to lose 10 pounds...and not weight. They want a specific credit score...and not just to repair their credit. The truth is, even people who are doing very GENERAL searches for generic terms still have specific benefits in mind, and if you can QUANTIFY that in your content, you are FAR closer to making a sale than you realize....I promise!
Said differently.......meet people at the farthest point in their mental buying continuum, and you'll find SELLING to those folks is far easier than you know.
