L"Arma per l'Arte (the Army for Art), is an exhibition dedicated to the sacred art objects stolen and recovered by the Commando Carabinieri - Unit for Protection of Cultural Heritage, that celebrates forty years of honourable service.

The main purpose of this event is to point out how places of worship are really vulnerable to theft or damage, and how over the time Carabinieri helped to preserve the masterpieces of the Italian churches.

Many recovered art works are from Tuscan churches, like tempera on wood by Niccol di Segna depicting Madonna and Child from the hermitage of San Galgano, stolen in 1968 and recovered in 1993, the board of John of Milan from San Bartolomeo in Tuto in Scandicci; last recovery in chronological order (2007) is the triptych of Sano di Pietro from the Franciscan convent of Sinalunga.
