In spring or summer, consider the fact that people are spending lots of their spare time outside shopping, having picnics and exercising. In autumn and winter people spend as little time outside as possible because of the weather, so the best promotional items will be those that help protect from the elements or are likely to be used and noticed inside. Warm accessories like gloves and scarves work well, as do coupons for coffee, tea or perhaps even mulled wine. In short, ensure your brand is associated with the things that make the fun part of the year even more enjoyable and the miserable part of the year more bearable.
