Termites are major detritivores, particularly in the tropical and subtropical regions, and their recycling of wood and other plant matter is of considerable ecological importance.
Colonies of termite eat non-stop, 24 hours a day or seven days a week! They have large wings that they shed once they have found a good place to build a nest. White ants cause up to $2 billion in damage per year! All Termites are social insects and raise their young in a group. The total weight of all of the termites in the world is more than the weight of all the human beings in the world. There are generally four types of termites occurs, they are-
