Kids are totally cute, and they are even cuter when they are dressed in a pair of really cute kids sunglasses

. However, as is the case with almost everything that kids own, the little miniature pairs of sunglasses often end up broken, damaged or lost. It takes a lot of diligence to keep a pair of adult shades around for more than a few months sometimes, let along trying to keep track of little pairs of them! Here are a few tips you can use that might help you keep your favorite pair of kids sunglasses around and in good shape for as long as possible.

The first rule of protection is to keep them contained and covered when they are not in use. In other words, get a descent case to keep them in when your little one isnt wearing them. There are generally two kinds of cases, and those are soft cases that have a very soft inner lining to protect the lenses from scratching and a hard case, which is not quite as soft inside but is made of durable material that acts as a shell around the kids sunglasses. Although many adults might prefer the soft cases, it is often recommended that if the children are going to be handling the sunglasses or transporting them that you purchase a hard case. This is mainly because a hard case will offer protection from drops, bumps, falls and scratches too.

So how much should you spend on one of these little cases? The usual general rule is that the more money you spend on the sunglasses the more protective (and probably expensive) the case for them should be. There are many different materials that the hard cases can be made from, including metal, vinyl, plastic, fiberglass and some others. They can have silicone outer coverings, fabric covers or be decorated in just about any fashion you can think of. There are tons of websites online that sell these cases for just a few dollars, and shipping should not be too costly, either. If your child likes a popular cartoon character, you are probably going to be able to find a durable case with that character on it for him or her. Does your child have a favorite color?
